Melissa Apodaca
He
nuevo. Definitivamente cuando pienso en
el futuro me veo dando clases.
I was born in Massachusetts. I am the oldest of 4 sibling.
When I was a kid I lived in Mexico, Colorado and Kansas. I have been married for 8 years and
have two wonderful kids, Gethzemany and Paul.
Considering I am Latina,
some things I really like to do are: dancing, eating great food and spending
time with my family. While I was working as a paraprofessional, I was also
attending Metropolitan State College, where I received my B.A. Later I finish my teaching degree through the
TiR program. I knew since I was a teenager I wanted to be a teacher, I had an
inspiring teacher who taught me how important education was been, is and will
be through out time anyplace in the world. I had worked with kids of different
ages and really enjoy the whole process of teaching-learning. The last 5 years
I have been working as a kindergarten teacher here at Goldrick, and everyday I
discover the joy of my profession. It is such an amazing feeling to know how
children can become readers and writers, when at first they could not even hold
a pencil in a right position. I truly believe we learn something new everyday.
When thinking in the future I definitely see myself teaching 20 years from NOW!
