Marlene Becker

     Marlene Becker has been teacher with the Denver Public Schools for over twenty years.  She has been at Goldrick Elementary for most of those years.  Marlene is a Colorado native.  She always wanted to be a teacher.  She attended Metropolitan State College where she received her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education. She also attended the University of Phoenix and graduated with a Master’s Degree in Diverse Learners.  She taught at the elementary level for a few years and then began teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) which is what she continues to do at this time.  Marlene thoroughly enjoys working with students that represent various cultures and speak many different languages. She feels very fortunate to work at Goldrick School.<o:p></o:p>

     Marlene is married and has two children.  She enjoys spending time with her family and friends.  She loves to travel to warm, sunny places and enjoys reading books.
