Patti Harrington
My name is Patti Harrington. I am proud to be one of the fifth grade teachers here at the best elementary school in Denver, Goldrick Elementary School. I grew up in this area and attended the Denver Public Schools from elementary school through high school. I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado, in Greeley. I also have my master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction. This is my eighteenth year at Goldrick. I have also taught in Wyoming and Texas.
I am the proud mother of two daughters and one granddaughter. Some of my favorite hobbies are traveling, reading, shopping, and watching golf on TV, and of course, teaching. I have fun collecting pens, coffee mugs, and children's literature.
Next to my family, my greatest joy is teaching kids. As long as I can remember, I always wanted to be a teacher. One of my favorite teacher's believed in me and guided me with that gentle hand through school. My hope is to share my strengths and wisdom with my students and to give them the self-esteem and solid foundation, knowing that each and every child can succeed as long as I believe in them. I have that gentle hand and will always guide my students to believe in themselves.
