Mr. Lingerfield
Hello, I'm Dan Lingerfield, Physical Education teacher at Goldrick Elementary School. I grew up in the Midwest town of South Bend, IN located about an hour outside of Chicago. I began college at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, MI where I studied Physical Education and continued to competitively run cross-country.
From there I decided to head out west and enjoy the good life in Vail, CO. I spent five years as a true Vail local, enjoying outdoor sports during the day and working late into the night. With a passion for athletics and a desire to educate youth, it was time to move forward as I relocated to Denver and attended Metropolitan State College of Denver. There I completed coursework and received a BA and teaching certificate in K-12 Physical Education. Following graduation I began attending the University of Northern Colorado where I received a MS in Sports Administration.
I've found that the students, parents and staff of Goldrick create an exciting learning environment. Over the past year at Goldrick and five years with DPS I have enjoyed sharing my knowledge and passion of physical activity through educating enthusiastic students in my K-5 Physical Education classes.
