The Gifted and Talented program at Goldrick will create equitable programming that supports the Gifted and Talented department’s initiative to close disparities among demographics and subgroups. We will challenge students to grow as critical thinkers, risk-takers, and leaders in the community using culturally responsive teaching, aligned with the school’s vision, that all students are prepared to pursue their dreams and lead for a better tomorrow. This will be accomplished by working collaboratively with classroom teachers to increase rigor, enrich and extend the regular classroom curriculum; as well as challenge students to think critically and develop higher-level thinking skills that meet their emotional, intellectual, and creative potentials while addressing the social and emotional needs of gifted and advanced learners.
