Norma Velasco
Kindergarten ELA- S Teacher
I am originally from Colombia and began teaching in 2014. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work with children from diverse backgrounds, and I truly enjoy helping young learners grow academically, socially, and emotionally. I am very happy to be part of the Goldrick Elementary community and enjoy working with our students, families, and staff.
Education is also an important part of my own journey. In November 2026, I will complete my Master’s degree in Education, an accomplishment I am very excited about.
In my free time, I enjoy hiking, dancing, and spending time with my family. My husband is John, and my daughter is Valeria. We also have two German Shepherds who are an important part of our family.
I am excited for another wonderful year at Goldrick and look forward to learning and growing together with my students!
